Here in Buttimer Engineering, we have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join our expanding team. Your main responsibility will be the lead electrical engineer on key electrical site projects.
Reporting to: Strategic Development Director
Location: Site Specific
The Role
- Electrical Engineer working as part of a multi-disciplinary project delivery team.
- Provide technical design expertise to all projects covering all aspects of High and Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
- A strong ethical approach to safety, quality and sustainable design.
- Implement specific site and company quality & design standards.
- Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
- Specification, selection, and procurement of the range of equipment.
- Preparation and interpretation of technical specifications and enquiry documentation
- Assist with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue.
- Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports and communicate any issues / risks appropriately.
- Ensure all work is carried out in adherence to health and safety standards such as preparing method statements and risk assessments.
The Person
- You are qualified to degree level or equivalent in Electrical engineering discipline.
- You should have 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with experience working in the power and renewables sector. You should also have a knowledge of applicable electrical engineering standards and current industry best practices.
- You are customer focused with strong communication and influencing skills.
- You show excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail with an ability to think outside the box.
- You are driven, accurate and timely in producing results and can manage tasks and schedules effectively.
- You should be able to work alone and as part of a team effectively.
