The multidisciplinary design team at Buttimer Engineering will collaborate with customers, and their advisors, to produce a comprehensive engineered solution.

Using the latest building information modeling (BIM) technology, we provide a complete (dry solids and liquid) bulk materials handling Design Solution, including development of Design Concept, Process Flow, and Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) elements. Our innovative designs integrate the most advanced equipment and technologies available from key global equipment providers, enabling Buttimer’s customers to benefit from longstanding supply chains and competitive commercial terms.

Design tasks undertaken by Buttimer’s engineering team range from one-off problem solving and consulting, to full turnkey project developed from conceptual design to operation. The design team specialise in bulk (solids and liquid) materials handling designs for grains, biomass, ore, coal, ash, malt and other agri or mineral commodities, ship unloading at ports, liquid storage fuel tanks, flue stacks and pressure vessels for the dairy, distillery, pharma, and data center sector.

Frequently the design process commences with a customer presenting a unique challenge or bottleneck in their process, with the resulting solution being Buttimer’s development and design of bespoke systems or pieces of equipment. The design is developed in collaboration with the client’s team and is typically manufactured, installed, commissioned, and maintained by Buttimer’s own in-house teams.
